'It's Not What We Do, But The Difference We Can Make'
Thanks for looking us over. That means you are seriously thinking about a contribution to the BSVV. The funds you donate to us go to other organizations and individuals who are in need.
These are groups such as: Helping Our Troops; A Stoneham based group that sends "Care Packages" to our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq; VVA Chapter 54 Food Pantry: They feed many veterans and families from their food pantry in North Adams, MA; Veterans Association of Bristol County, Inc., a vet center in Fall River, MA that feeds Veterans and their families in the Greater Fall River Area; Veterans Transition House: a Veterans Homeless Shelter in New Bedford MA that feeds shut-in Veterans and their families at Thanksgiving and Christmas; Women's Center at SSTAR in Fall River, MA who assist battered women and their families. Many battered women of today are the veterans of yesterday. These are but a few of the groups we donate to. We also give to individual Veterans and their dependents as well as assist with funding events such as the fundraising cookout for Sgt. Brendan Ferreira of Freetown MA who was severely wounded in Afghanistan. We support scholarship programs such as the one sponsored by VVA Chapter 207 in Westport, MA. If you donate, that is where your donation goes.
Thank you,
Richard Levesque, President / Executive Director
